Dear Abbi,
I seem to have gotten trapped in a massive bee hive. I’m not allergic, but it’s not fun. I’m trying to get out, but the bees have started to build the hive around me, trapping me even more. I want out, but when I think about how much they want me here, it makes me kinda want to stay. No one has ever made such a grand gesture for me before. If I leave, I don’t want to regret it. Should I break the hive and go back to my studio apartment to live alone?
Trapped and confused.
In a Hive
Dear Trapped,
It saddens me that you feel that the bees care about you more than anyone else in your life. But, beware of the bees, because they may seem nice now, but they will turn on you. Sure they’re building the hive around you to make you more comfortable now, but soon enough they will find something else, like honey to focus on. I just don’t want you to get hurt. I think as long as you don’t set yourself up with high expectations of where this situation is going, then stay. Appreciate it as it’s happening, but if you’re thinking this is a long term thing, then get out, because they’ll just disappoint you.
Best of Luck,
Abbi
